Dolly Levi acts as a matchmaker to numerous couples and on a whirlwind day in
New York she manages to secure a husband for herself.
This full of fun show was an instant success when it was first performed at
the St. James Theatre, New York in January 1964. It has been a firm
theatre favourite with audiences ever since. It was immortalised by
Barbara Streisand and Walter Matthau in the 1969 film.
