"This seldom-performed musical play gave
the society a chance to show off their dramatic abilities as well as their
musical talents. Charlie was superb and his portrayal of a likeable
adult with learning difficulties transformed to a confident genius was
amazing. He was helped by a talented Alice and strong performances
from both doctors and there was a nice cameo from Mrs Donner. The ending
was so powerful that many of the audience left the venue with tears in
their eyes. The singing and staging could not be faulted."
