"Mack & Mabel" boasts everything from slapstick comedy, bathing
beauties, love songs to great chorus numbers.
The show follows the career of Mack Sennett, the king of the silent movies,
from 1911 (when it all began) through his move from the tiny studio in Brooklyn,
New York to Hollywood, Los Angeles, his relationship with Mabel Normand (the kid
from the deli who used to deliver the lunch orders), his loss of Mabel to a
rival director (Taylor), Mabel's return, his creation of the Keystone Cops, his
loss of Mabel again to the same rival director, to 1932 when his studio closes
down due to the rise of movies with sound (the talkies).
However, we have a happy ending as Mabel returns after the death of Taylor.
